This gives just enough time to ask the City to re-sell the ice if no other team wishes to pick it up. Should a team wish to cancel a scheduled ice time (either practice or game time), the ice scheduler must be given AT LEAST twenty five (25) days notice to do so. The Administrator will do the best possible job to accommodate a team's request, as long as proper notice is given when a change is requested. Changing game times to an earlier or later time, or to a different arena will not be considered. This means that no coach may trade ice times with another coach under any circumstances.
The LMHA ice Administrator is the only person authorized to make any changes. No changes are permitted to be made by any coach or manager. Ice time to replace these games is not guaranteed. If a home game need to be rescheduled, the original slot will be given back to the Administrator, and alternative ice slots will be offered. If a team wishes to make a change in their schedule, the manager (or coach) must notify the Administrator. Teams that do not play in leagues (Tom Thumb and Initiation) are scheduled exhibition games to fulfill the LMHA's ice commitment to them.
League schedules are set up by a member of each respective league and then passed on to the LMHA to fit into our allotted time. The ice scheduler must coordinate all of the league schedules for the teams that play in leagues. The ice time is allocated to both practice and game slots. It is the responsibility of the LMHA's Ice Scheduler to schedule all of the ice allocated. Please always check the electronic monitors when you arrive at the facility.Įach year, the main users of the four arenas sign a contract with the City of Leduc, which includes the cost of ice and the amount of ice time that the association will receive for the season.
